Thank you to all those schools who have submitted their annual school accounts for the school year 2007-8. Please remember the deadline for receipt of your school accounts is 1st November. Health & Safety for Students
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has produced an extremely useful guide and checklist to assist schools who send students on work experience. You can access a copy of the guide by clicking here. The guide has just been published in September 2008 and provides a comprehensive overview of what a school needs to do when sending students on work experience. Well worth a read!
New Guide to Insurance, Safety & Security in the School
Allianz will shortly be launching the new Guide to insurance, safety and security in schools. The Guide was first introduced in 1991 to provide assistance to Trustees, Boards of Management and School Principals in the daily school operations. An updated version was issued in 2001. Since then there have been changes in legislation that impact the operations of schools and the new Guide will incorporate these changes. A copy of the new guide will be sent to all our schools.
