CEIST is the new trustee body for the voluntary secondary schools of the Daughters of Charity, the Presentation Sisters, the Sisters of the Christian Retreat, the Sisters of Mercy and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.

Christmas Greetings

CEIST Education Office would like to offer thanks and congratulations to the Boards of Management, the Principals and Staff of all our schools who day by day, create and sustain the environment of love and faith in our schools, which enables young people to flourish, learn and grow.

May you be richly blessed in all you do and may the peace of Christmas be yours.

New CEIST Board Personnel

CEIST are delighted to announce the addition of three new members to our Board of Directors.

The three new Directors are Ms. Sandra Cullen, Monsignor Jim Cassin and Sr. Helena O'Donoghue.

Rockford Manor Golden Jubilee

On 23rd November 2008 Rockford Manor Secondary School on Stradbrook Road in Blackrock celebrated its Golden Jubilee.

Ms. Attracta Kennelly, School Principal, has kindly shared the following information and photos. 

St. Brigids Pres Day Celebrations

St. Brigid's Secondary School in Killarney celebrated Presentation Day on November 24th with a wreath laying ceremony on the Presentation Sisters grave. 

Presentation Secondary Wexford Celebrations

Seven Presentation Sisters, Students and Staff came together to celebrate 190 years of the Presentation Congregation in Wexford.

Convent of Mercy, Roscommon Golf Bug!

The Irish Times newspaper recently published an article on the Convent of Mercy Roscommon golf achievements.

Sixty pupils from the convent enjoy playing golf, with some starting from as young as six or seven years of age. The school has 41 staff members where 16 of them play the game.

Mary Immaculate Lisdoonvarna Presentation

Anne Kelleher, CEO of CEIST, presented 19 full Further Education and Training Award Council (FETAC) Level 5 Awards and 45 component certificates to Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) students in Lisdoonvarna on Friday 14th November 2008.

The awards were in the area of Business, Child Care and Community and Health Services.

Marty Haugen and Tony Alonso Music Workshop

A very special music workshop will take place in Carlow Cathedral on Feb 1st 2009 with American Composers Marty Haugen and Tony Alonso.

The workshop begins at 2:30PM and concludes at 6:00PM. Individual registration and collection of workshop packs will take place from 1:30PM-2:30PM in the Parish Centre.
