CEIST Autumn 2010 Newsletter Brochure

We recently published our Autumn 2010 Newsletter (Volume Three~ Issue Two). Copies were posted to all of our schools.

The Newsletter includes updates from the CEIST Education Office, news from our schools and some useful tips on Health and Safety, Finance Matters, etc.

The Winter 2010 edition will be published in November and we very much welcome any news, events, photos, etc, that you might like to profile on this edition.

Scholarship for Presentation Thurles Student

Congratulations to Fifth year Presentation Thurles Student, Sorcha Fenlon, who was recently awarded a 1000 dollar scholarship to New York Film Academy, New York, to study on their 4 week Musical Theatre Course.

On application, Sorcha was chosen to attend auditions in the Marylebone Hotel in London. After a very tough audition and some expert advice Sorcha was awarded the scholarship .

Sorcha hopes to pursue a career in this area and is very excited to tread on the same boards as some of Broadways veterans!

Catholic Schools Week

The launch for Catholic Schools Week 2011 is taking place on Thursday 27 January in Mount Sion Waterford.

The theme for 2011 is "Catholic Schools are rooted in Jesus Christ."

Catholic Schools Week will run from Sunday 30th January 2011 to Saturday 5th February.

Presentation Sisters Celebrate 200 Years in Carlow

Presentation Sisters are celebrating 200 years of their presence in Carlow with a Mass of celebration in Carlow Cathedral at 6.15pm on Saturday 29th January 2011.

All past pupils, teachers and any one connected with Presentation are invited to come together to prepare the music and sing for  this special occasion.
