CEIST Finance Sub-Committee Cluster Meetings

October 15th every year marks the commencement of new Boards of Management of CEIST schools, on a rotational basis.

Each year presents new challenges for the Boards depending on changes in various pieces of legislation relevant to education, employment, welfare etc.

In addition, year on year, the continuing down-turn in the economy has impacted on our schools to the extent that all schools are feeling the financial impact of austerity measures.

In a time of austerity, the strengths of the collaborative process cannot be under-estimated. Our emphasis is on an active Board Finance Sub-Committee, engaged in detailed analysis and oversight of accounts with a view to bringing additional understandings and direction to decision making at the Board of Management meeting.

In order to ensure financial best practice, CEIST has arranged a series of in-service seminars during the month of December for members of the Board of Management and specifically the members of the Finance Sub-Committees.

Please email info@ceist.ie if you wish to attend one of the seminars or would like further information.
