Enterprising Local Students Secure Celebrity Appearances

This week a group of enterprising Presentation College Athenry teenagers have succeeded in securing not one, but three celebrity entertainers for their fundraising concert.

The charity concert, which was held in the Community Hall, showcased up and coming local music artists and was headlined by Britain’s Got Talent star Jordan O’Keefe and UK pop sensation Michael Sutthakorn, with support from Dublin Comedian Fabu D.

Commenting today Transition Year student Albert Dolan said ‘’we are delighted to have secured these famous stars for our concert. It was a long hard route to getting them to agree but we stuck at it and got there in the end. We have sold all of the tickets and turned a nice profit for Galway’s youth mental health charities, Console and Jigsaw!’’.
