In response to requests for support in this challenging subject area there will be a CEIST cluster meeting for those interested in sharing best practice in:
The Kilkenny Education Centre
Wednesday March 10th 2010
The aim of the afternoon is for teachers of any subject which deals in some way with relationships and sexuality education – S.P.H.E./R.S.E., R.E. Science, Home Economics etc - to get together to share ideas and information.
The agenda for the afternoon will be as follows:
2.10 p.m. Introduction
2.20 p.m. Presentation of programmes developed by teachers in our schools which are working well.
3.00 p.m. Sharing of resources “World Café” style. This time will be broken into three sessions during which we hope teachers will share their best practice, suggestions for good visiting speakers etc.
3.50 p.m. Tea Break – During this time representatives from groups such as KAS (Rape Crisis Centre), The Teen Parent Support Project, Accord, Cura, etc will be available to discuss the programmes / supports they offer to schools.
4.10 p.m. Concluding Session.
4.30 p.m. Close.
