Ard Scoil na Tríonóide Win Junior Achievement Awards

Junior Achievement Ireland encourages young people to remain in education and teaches them the skills they need to succeed in a changing world.

Ardscoil na Tríonóide, Athy, Co. Kildare, recently won the Eastern Regional Finals of the Junior Achivement's Company Competition in Chartered Accountants House, Dublin.

Ardscoil na Tríonóide took one overall prize with their innovative product of a baby clothes boutique. Another group of students from the school received a runners up award for their company 'Kops' which sells reflective dog collars and accessories.

Students were judged on a company report, trade stand, presentation and interview by a panel of judges.

Ardscoil na Tríonóide will go through to the national RDS Student Innovation Awards in April and the ultimate prize is winning the Junior Achievement European Company Competition in Sardinia in July 2010.
