Mercy Secondary School Kilbeggan Debutantes Ball

Last Monday 16th August 2010, Dublin Road, Kilbeggan was transformed into a Parisienne catwalk as the Class of 2010 headed off to Dunboyne Castle Co. Meath for their Debutantes Ball.

Every hairdresser, barber, beautician, tailor, dressmaker and family member breathed a sigh of relief as the immaculately dressed students headed off on the buses for their big night.

What happened over the next twelve hours is unknown, but all participants returned home safely to Kilbeggan the next morning, and by all accounts had a wonderful time. Many thank to the Grad Committee, the Parents Council and Dunboyne Castle for all the work they put into organising this event.

It heralded the climax of many years of hard work undertaken by the students, their teachers and their families across many different circumstances. Congratulations to all students who sat the Leaving Cert Exam, and in particular to Tadhg O’Sullivan who scored the Leaving Cert maximum of 600 points.
