Junior Cert trio get 30 As between them!

St. Vincent's Dundalk Junior Cert students are on the stepping stone to success with top class results in the 2010 exams.

Ellen Matthews, Jillian Mulpeter and Naoise Murphy between them achieved 30 As in their Junior Certificate results.

The Principal of St. Vincent's Dundalk, Deirdre Matthews, said it was a vital stage in secondary education. 'Overall, it was a really good year, and I'm delighted for the girls who did so well. The Junior Cert is very important in focusing student's minds ahead of the Leaving Cert year'.

Deirdre also mentioned in an interview with Dundalk local paper "Argus" that the major review of the junior cycle currently being conducted by the NCCA, which has led to concerns among School Principals.

'I would worry about the possible demise of the junior exams which I don't think would be the right move'.
