They were presented recently with their awards at the opening of The Listowel Food Fair in the Listowel Arms Hotel, Co. Kerry.

They also impressed chef Nevin Maguire who was demonstrating at the Official Opening, who presented them with copies of his new book. CEIST wishes continued success to these students.

Parish Mission

A liturgy, celebrating the energy and creativity of the young people in the parish Church took place on Wednesday night October 20th. It was a great night for all the young members of the community, as they expressed their feelings through Religion. It was conducted by Fr. Tadhg Herbert and Fr. John.P. O'Riordan C.S.S.R. with Fr. Hegarty. All those from the school who attended this liturgy benefited greatly from it. The Students and Staff put a lot of work into this and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

On Friday 22nd of October there was a non uniform day in aid of Breast Cancer Research in the school. It cost 3 Euro per student and fancy dress was mandatory. It was a great day enjoyed by all. There were many activities through out the day. At break and lunch there was a fabulous array of home baking brought in by the future chefs of St. Joseph's. This brought in further funds for the deserving cause. Both Staff and students made a good effort and came out in lovely costumes. A lot of money was raised. Congratulations to the group of Fifth Years who worked tirelessly beforehand and on the day to make this a success. Another example of the great potential of the youth of today.
