Holy Rosary College Students Annual European Food Day Fundraiser

On the 18th November, the 2010 Transition Year students held the annual European Food day.

Queues were chaotic as students followed the tempting smells wafting through the corridors in preparation for the lunch time event. The usual scrumptious treats awaited the crowd as they munched on pizza, pasta, croissants, pain au chocolat, crepes, madeleines, and chocolate biscuits cakes.

In addition to the familiar culinary delights, students were fortunate also to eat strawberries and marshmallows freshly dipped in chocolate from the chocolate fountain.

Quite soon everything sold out and T.Y. students were left with a big cleanup! However, the princely sum of 425€ they raised made all the hard work worthwhile.

Having decided on donating the money to the Benin Mission Fund, the T.Y. students, Home Economics and Language Departments presented the cheque to Sister Assumpta.

All help and support and contributions on the day were greatly appreciated.
