Scoil Bhríde Tuam invite past pupils for inaugural annual school recital

The search is on for as many past pupils of the highly acclaimed Mercy Convent, Tuam orchestra to make contact with their old alma mater for the purposes of a reunion concert.

It is the brainchild of school Principal Gearóid Leen who wishes to invite past pupils to their annual recital early next month.

Scoil Bhríde Tuam's choirs and orchestras are celebrating their centenary and want to make this a special event.

Mr. Leen is hoping that past pupils of the orchestra will make contact with the school so that a novel concert of old and new can be held in the school.

The event is happening on March 3rd 2011 in the large concert hall in the school and past pupils can experience the talents of the current orchestra, which is the biggest in the country having 163 members!.

There will be a reception in the school for the past pupils along with the current pupils and staff, and while the concert is free, they are limited to a certain number of seats so that is why they are specificially looking for past members of the orchestra and choirs.
