St. Mary’s Secondary School, Nenagh, Welcomes the Bishop

On Wednesday 2nd February Bishop Kieran O’Reilly visited St. Mary’s Secondary School, Nenagh, to celebrate Catholic Schools’ Week with them.

Bishop O’Reilly met with students and staff, as well as representatives of the Board of Management, the Parents’ Council and CEIST, before celebrating the Eucharist with the whole school in Nenagh parish church, St. Mary’s of the Rosary, together with the priests of the parish.

During the Mass, Bishop O’Reilly encouraged all the students to remember the words of St Paul to Timothy and “Fan into a flame” the gifts that each has been given, and most particularly the gift of their Faith.

Congratulations to all those who worked together to make this liturgy such a meaningful and memorable event, the readers, musicians, singers, servers, those who participated in the Offertory Procession and of course, the teachers who guided the preparation for the occasion.

It was a vibrant and faith-filled celebration of the Eucharist, and one which will long be remembered by the whole school community.
