Students from CEIST Schools Receive Eight A1 grades in Leaving Cert!

Ten Students from across the country scored the perfect Leaving Cert, notching up a stunning eight A1s and we are delighted to report that two of the students were from CEIST Schools.

Zoe Fannon of St. Aloysius School, Sharman Crawford Street, Cork is bound for Oxford next Month where she will study politics, philosophy and economics.

"I had always hoped to do well but I'd never dreamed that I could get results of this magnitude. It is fantastic," she said.

Zoe credited her results to steady work over the past two years, great teachers, good classmates and a supportive family.

The other student from a CEIST school with the perfect results was Ruth Cormican of Calasanctius College, Oranmore, Co. Galway and with every possible university course now available to her, pianist Ruth has decided to keep her options open.

"I'm going to do arts at NUI Galway because I'm not really sure what I want to do so I want to do something broad," she explained.

The CEIST office would like to congratulate everybody concerned on the exceptional results received and acknowledge the work of the students themselves, the teachers and parents and the Principals of all our schools.

We wish all students well in the future and hope that next Monday’s initial round of CAO offers will see all of you gain access to the courses of your choice and that your journey beyond secondary school is an enriching and fulfilling one.

To the Principals and Teachers we wish you well as you begin the process anew with the next class of Leaving Cert students.
