Global Education Experience - CEIST Schools

Sr Teresa Walsh of the Presentation Sisters has kindly shared with us an account of Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry's recent trip to Chennai, India.

Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co. Tipperary visited St Anthony’s Anglo Indian School, Egmore, Chennai, India on Oct 29th – Nov 5th 2011.

A number of teachers and students travelled with Sr Teresa Walsh to the school in India.


Global Education Experience (GEE) is a project developed jointly by the three Irish Provinces of the Presentation Sisters in collaboration with Presentation Sisters in mission Provinces.

It offers teachers and senior students from Second Level Schools in Ireland, which are linked to Presentation Sisters, an opportuity to experience life in a country from the Two Thirds World, alongside Presentation Sisters and/or their co-workers.

Sr Jennie Clifford also very kindly shared with us recent Global Education Experience trips from both Presentation Secondary School, Farranree and Presentation Secondary School, Ballyphehane who also both visted Chennai, India.

Coláiste Bríde, Clondalkin, Dublin also visited India as part of their Global Education Experience project, where they made strong bonds with Presentation Convent School in Delhi.
