St Joseph's Rush Equestrian Team win Interschool's Top Prize

Two students from St Joseph’s Secondary School in Rush, Co. Dublin competed in the Interschool’s Show Jumping Competition in Kilrossery Lodge Stud, Swords on Sunday 12th of November last.

Kirsten Fynes and Emma-Jane Murphy competed in the individual competition which consisted of 52 competitors from different secondary schools.

Emma-Jane Murphy jumped extremely well on her pony “Sandy Hills Ken” with just one fence down.

Kirsten Fynes jumped a clear round on her pony “Pennwood Rocco” which entitled her to enter the ‘Speed Round’.

Kirsten finished the speed round in a time of 23.34 seconds which saw her win first place for the St Joseph’s team.

St Joseph’s Principal Ms Hayden said, “We are very proud of the girls and their achievements for the St Joseph’s Equestrian Team and have no doubt that the girls will build on the success of last week and continue to do themselves and their families proud."
