BT Young Scientist Success for Presentation Secondary School, Thurles

Congratulations to Presentation Secondary School, Thurles, Co. Tipperary students Sinead Lawless, Jane Anne Mc Kevitt and Rachel McCormack whose project Defib excelled at this year’s BT Young Scientist Competition.

The girls won the Senior Social and Behavioural Sciences category and also scooped the Health Research Board Award.

Their project was a community based study of response times for each stage of the chain of survival model of cardiac resuscitation for out of hospital cardiac arrest.
