All Ireland Scholarships

In 2012 a total of 125 All Ireland Scholarships were awarded to students from the 32 counties. The Awards are sponsored by JP McManus.

Congratulations to Samantha O'Brien O’Reilly, former student of Eureka Secondary School, who was one of the two Meath recipients of the All Ireland Scholarships.

Samantha is now studying Law and French in University College Dublin.

The All Ireland Scholarships Programme commenced during 2008 and 620 scholarships have been awarded to date.

The value of each scholarship is set at €6,750 per annum in Ireland and £5,500 per annum in Northern Ireland and will continue for the duration of the under graduate programmes chosen by the scholarship winners.

The prizes are spread on a county by county basis throughout the island of Ireland viz:

Ireland – 26 Counties                                     24      100 Scholarships per annum
Northern Ireland – 6 Counties                          6        25 Scholarships per annum
