Mount Mercy College Student, A National Winner of Essay Competition

Rachel Feeney 5th year student in Mount Mercy College, Model Farm Road, Cork was the national winner of an Essay competition at The Loyola Institue, TCD.

Rachel was presented with an iPad for her winning essay entitled “What kind of saints do we need today”and was a guest at TCD for a day along with her teacher Ms. Hogan and Mount Mercy College Principal Padraigín Uí Riordáin.

A highlight of the visit was viewing the Book of Kells and meeting the Director of The Loyola Institute, Dr Corneus Casey CSSR , Professor Shane Allwright, Registrar at TCD and Professor Fáinche Ryan followed by lunch at The Alliance Francaise in Kildare Street.
