The End of a Mercy Era in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon

Sister Patricius Quine, the last Mercy Sister to have lived in Strokestown has retired from Scoil Mhuire, Secondary School.

The occasion of the departure was beautifully marked by a meaningful liturgy on Friday, December 6th last.

Many speeches of appreciation were given on the night to give thanks for the multi-dimensional work of the Sisters with a particular emphasis towards the field of education.

The Sisters of Mercy Website has more details on the event.
