This was the choir’s debut at the prestigious festival and was warmly received by both adjudicators and audiences.

With a repertoire ranging from Plain Chant to Benjamin Britten, the choir was delighted to be both highly commended in the Turner Huggard Memorial competition and awarded the highest mark in the Sacred Music competition.

However, the highlight of the day was winning the Cóir Iarbhunscoile, in St. Bartholomew’s Church, with a powerful rendition of two Irish songs, achieving 90 marks.

The choir felt very privileged also to qualify for the ESB Choir of the Year Competition.
