Mission Statement

St. Brigid’s Secondary School is a voluntary catholic school which values and maintains a Christian ethos of mercy, justice and equality for all.

It’s aim is the pursuit of excellence in a centre of holistic learning.

We actively nurture a caring environment in which respect for all is the hallmark.

School History

St. Brigid’s School dates back to the coming of the sisters of Mercy to Tuam in 1846 at the time of Great Famine.

Since 1860’s it has provided education for girls.

Over the years it has grown and developed into a vibrant school catering for the academic, spiritual and recreational needs of the students.
