An Information Session on the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools (Revised 2023) will be held on 6^th March 2025 in the Hodson Bay Hotel 9.30 – 2.30pm to include lunch.

It is open to all newly appointed Designated Liaison Persons (DPLs) and Deputy Designated Liaison Persons (DDLPs).  DLPs / DDLPs who are not newly appointed but who would like to refresh their understanding of the Procedures are also invited to register.

The session will have 2 parts:

Part 1:

• To promote the awareness and understanding of abuse
• Understand the threshold of harm
• Provide information to enable staff to know what to do in situations where there is a concern, suspicion or allegation of abuse
• Understand the difference between mandated V non mandated reports

Part 2:

• Reporting CP concerns and Role of DLP
• CPOR
• BOM Obligations
• CP Inspections
• Record Keeping
