This years Student Conference was another fantastic success this year and was held on Zoom.

We had an incredible 100 schools online and were treated to a marvelous suite of student led initiatives that are making a difference in local school communities.  With Bí Cineálta as our theme, there were so many inspiring examples of videos, community group work, debating, podcasts and immersion trips abroad giving us wonderful food for thought for what we can do in all our schools through our student leadership groups.

For the first time ever one of our schools took the lead with our conference and this was done extremely well by St Josephs Secondary School Rush Ember Team. As lead presenter they not only took charge of the demonstration on the day but also gave us all an insight into there work which is not limited to Prosper Fingal, Friendly Voices and Uganda UG Aid Link.

In addition to Rush we also had several other schools contributing with their own presentations. These were St. Setons Secondary School Ballyfermot, St. Josephs College Lucan, St  Mary’s Secondary School Nenagh and Eureka Secondary School Kells. Many thanks for the time and energy they put into their presentations on the day.

Lastly  Assistant Chief Inspector,  Ger Power, joined us giving  his insight’s on how we can all help ‘ to be kinder’ as we go about the school day and promote our schools Bí Cineálta policies and awareness.
