Meánscoil Muire gan Smál, Roscommon – CEIST Student Leadership Conference

Fifth year students Laura Regan, Aoife Mannion and Ella Mahon attended the CEIST Student Leadership Conference on Tuesday March 13th in St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra. The conference organised by our Trustees CEIST, gave students from all CEIST schools the opportunity to come together to explore leadership values and share their experiences. CEIST recognises that the students in our schools today will be the leaders of tomorrow and is committed to playing a part in preparing them for that role. After an address and blessing by Dr. Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin and lighting of the CEIST candle the teachers and students were welcomed by CEIST CEO Dr. Marie Griffin and Dr. Daire Keogh President St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra. After a series of workshops, the conference was addressed by Philip Mulryne, a Northern Irish friar and deacon and retired professional footballer who shared his personal faith testimony and words of encouragement with all present. The girls found the day to be most enjoyable and thought provoking and would like to thank Mr. Harlow for accompanying them.
