Human Trafficking Awareness

To create awareness about “Human Trafficking” in our school, the Chaplaincy group prepared a slide show. This is part of a Mercy initiative to raise awareness about this issue. To the music of Lady Gaga, herself a campaigner against human trafficking, the girls displayed facts and figures on the topic. They also started a poster campaign in the school. The students and staff wore blue ribbons to show our support for victims of human trafficking for the day.

World Meeting of Families

The icon of the Holy Family of Nazareth was painted by Mihai Ciucu and the Redemptoristine Sisters from Drumcondra, Dublin. It visited Tuam’s Cathedral of the Assumption on Friday last. It was commissioned to mark the World Meeting of Families in August.
To mark its arrival and to accompany the icon, our 5th year Art-students painted a large poster for “The World Meeting of Families 2018” which will remain in the Cathedral.
