University of Galway Taster Day

Over eighty Transition Year and Fifth Year students participated in the University of Galway Taster day on Thursday 16th April accompanied by Guidance Counsellors Ms. Daly and Ms. Buckley and teachers Ms. Coyle and Mr. Connery.  Our group was met by enthusiastic and knowledgeable student ambassadors at the Quadrangle who guided us across campus to the check-in tent where each student collected a university pack with a schedule of lectures, talks and workshops. The day afforded students a rare opportunity to attend a mix of interesting  taster sessions across Arts, Business, Law, Engineering, Science, Computer Science and Shannon College. Students were offered a true sense of university life in designing their own timetable, navigating the different venues, signing up for workshops and laboratory sessions and touring the campus.
