Ardscoil Mhuire Ballinasloe RetreatFifth Year Retreat
Our 5th Years enjoyed a retreat today in our school library facilitated by Pat Murphy. Half of the year group participated in the morning session; while the remainder of the class enjoyed time out from the stresses of school life in the afternoon session. This is very important time for reflection and for well-being after the pressure of a long school term and Christmas tests.

Spiritual Advent
The student community at Ardscoil Mhuire were able to participate in our penitential service today in school as part of their spiritual Advent preparation for the joyous season of Christmas. Huge thanks to Fr John Garvey and local priests from the neighbouring parishes who helped out and to Ms Jackson who organised the event

Also today all 3rd Year students and their Religion teachers went to visit St Michael’s Church  to help them better understand and complete their Junior Cert Religion project on the season of Advent. We were met at the Church by Fr John Garvey who explained the vestment colours worn during the season of Advent and explained the symbols and colours used in the Advent Wreath to help them write up their project on returning to school. Many thanks to Fr John for taking time out of his busy schedule leading up to Christmas
