Season of Advent

To celebrate the advent season, we have our Advent wreath on display beside the crib and a Jesse Tree in our school chapel. The Jesse Tree reminds us of the faithfulness of God to his people over 4,000 years of history.

 

Fiddler On The Roof

Well done to all involved in the production of our school musical. It was a huge success, running from November 27th to November 30th with a special daytime showing for 6th class girls of local feeder schools.

Christmas Jumper Day in aid of St. Vincent De Paul

Our annual Christmas Jumper Day has yet again raised some much needed funds for our local Bandon branch of St. Vincent De Paul. The students were great to get involved and raised over €500 for the charity.

 

Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Well done to our 1st year students who organised a collection for the charity. These gift-filled shoeboxes will be sent to children in Africa and Eastern Europe.

 

6th year visit to Nano Nagle Place

Thanks to the Religion Department, who organised a trip to Nano Nagle Place for all 6th year students. The students learned in great detail about Nano Nagle, her life and her work and got an opportunity to dress up in the costumes of the period.

 

Celebration of Presentation Day

A prayer service was led by the students to celebrate Presentation Day on the 21st of November.

 

Christmas Cake baked by Caoimhe Hurley of 3rd Year

Caoimhe who recently won the Foroige All Ireland Junior Baking competition, held at the National Ploughing Championships, produced a Christmas masterpiece which will feature on the front of our school Christmas cards.
