Excellence in Junior Cycle Business Studies Awards for Our Lady’s Students

TY Students Kaityln Brereton and Emma Bannigan accept Excellence in Junior Certifcate Business Studies Award on behalf of their fellow classmates

Congratulations to the nineteen Business Studies students from Our Lady’s who achieved “Distinction’s and Higher Merits” in their Higher Level Business Studies exam in the 2019 Junior Cycle. This achievement was acknowledged at a ceremony in Maynooth University hosted by the Business & Law Departments on Tuesday 4th February.

TY students, Emma Bannigan and Kaitlyn Brereton represented their peers at the presentation and accepted the award while Business teacher, Mr Aidan Connolly accepted a presentation on behalf of the school. The presentation took place in the Aula Maxima and was followed by a reception in Pugin Hall on the South Campus of Maynooyh University. President of Maynooth University, Professor Philip Nolan addressed the audience which had teacher and student representatives as well as parents. He complimented the young people on their wonderful achievement. While Mr. Kelly, Principal of Our Lady’s paid tribute to the students and their teachers saying that everyone in Our Lady’s is very proud of all their efforts.
