South Munster Schools Athletics T&F 2019 Championships

Well done to the students who travelled to CIT with Ms Lonergan to participate in the South Munster Schools Athletics Championships.

The relay team (Lucy McCarthy, Alannah Harrington, Niamh McCarthy & Eabha Crowlet) finished 2nd .

Ciardha McCarthy came 3rd in the shot putt.

Eabha Crowley won the pole vault .

Niamh McCarthy came 3rd in the 75m hurdles and 2nd in the high jump.

It was great to have girls competing in so many other events such as the 200m, 800m & 1500m. The girls will now competed in the Munster Championships.

 

Clonakilty Mayoral Council honors Junior Camogie Team

Congratulations to the Junior Camogie team and to coaches Mr. Mulcahy and Mr. Daly who were honored by Clonakilty Mayoral Council on Friday 3rd of May. The team won the All-Ireland Junior Camogie Schools championship recently. Lydia Sutton spoke on behalf of the team on the evening and she was joined by team members and parents.

 

Clonakilty Darkness into Light for Pieta House

Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm Darkness Into Light Walk 2019 took place on Saturday 11th May at 4.15am starting and returning to Clonakilty GAA Sports Complex. A number of our students participated on the night in support of this great event.

 

First in U15 Piano at Fleadh Cheoil

Well done to Emer McCarthy 1st Year who came first in U15 Piano at Fleadh Cheoil, Dunmanway.

She will now compete in The Munster Fleadh in Ennis in July. We wish her all the best!
