Congratulations to Victoria Griffiths Blitger who is the youngest member of the Mayo Division ! Volleyball team and has been nominated for the Connaught Telegraph Young Sports Star Awards. We wish you the best of luck Victoria and keep up the good work.

 

Senior Cycle Review

Well done to two of our students Grace Carolan and Emily Connolly who, together with their teachers Ms Ashling Warde, Ms Aoife Boyle and principal Mrs Fionnghuala King, took part in the Senior Cycle review in collaboration with the NCCA at a recent seminar in Sligo.

 

2nd Year Retreat

Our second year students enjoyed the retreats to Knock Shrine despite the weather they all found it a very enjoyable experience.

 

Bake Sale

A recent bake sale hosted by a group of transition year students in aid of Regina Duffy’s Fight For Life raised €1040.

 

TY Road Safety

Out Transition Year students attended the Road Safety Show in Castlebar. It is very important that young people are aware of the need to be safe on our roads and they found this roadshow hugely beneficial.

 

Mayo Garda Youth Awards

An Garda Síochána in Mayo have recently launched the inaugural Mayo Garda Youth Awards, held in association with SuperValu. The awards celebrate outstanding young people between the ages of 13 and 21 years who through their good work make a difference in their community. Three of our students Karina Tropman, Louise Reaney and Emily Connolly were all acknowledged on Saturday Feb 23rd at a function in Ballina.
