MT St. Michael Rosscarbery Win Cork Mental Health Speaking 2018

Well Done to Mt St Michael Transition year students Andrew Collins, Alannah O Brien and Etain Cantwell pictured here receiving the Cup with their Coach MS Lorraine Teevan, who just won the Cork Mental Health Public Speaking competition 2018.

The Project was launched in 1976 as part of an educational programme aimed at introducing young people to the facts about mental illness, and outlining how to maintain ones mental health. It is run as an effort to dispel unnecessary fears and prejudices, as well as destigmatising mental health issues. THe competition has been running since September and Mt St Michael were delighted to bring the Cup back to Rosscarbery after a 10 year wait since they last won it.
