Show Racism the Red Card

Transition Year students from Eureka Secondary School, Kells, Co. Meath are busy working on their entry to the Creative Competition, Show Racism the Red Card at The Aviva Stadium on the 11th May 2016.

Their entry for 2015 a sculpture of a hand holding a red card surrounded by all the flags of the nations of the world featured in the Showcase which toured the country this year and was used to promote the Showcase.

Our entry for 2016 involved setting up a multicultural club called The Mosaic Club which is held at lunchtime to promote inclusiveness in the school and wider community.

The symbol of the mosaic in a circle of peace is also used on the red badges which students and staff are wearing to promote the message that racism is unacceptable in our community.

We have composed a song entitled The Mosaic Song with lyrics which reinforce the message of the club which offers a warm welcome to all.

Below is a collation of images which show what Eureka students are doing in their club as part of their Show Racism the Red Card project at Eureka Secondary School, Kells, Co. Meath.
