Mercy Day Sept 24th 2020

The school community celebrated Mercy Day with a prayer service held over our intercom system. Students took time to reflect on the life and work of Catherine McAuley.

Fr. Carvil, our school chaplain and the Religion Department also recorded a special prayer service for Mercy Day from the Tearmann to show during religion classes.

We took this opportunity to celebrate our strong Mercy tradition and ethos and reflect on this year’s theme of “Our Mercy response to COVID… protecting ourselves and others”.

A Positive Start!

As we look back over the past few weeks we are thankful to staff and students for their dedication in ensuring we returned to school safely and with ease. It is commendable how well students have adjusted to the new norms and routines, including staggered breaks, year group pods, movement and respect on corridors and in base rooms. Such positive engagement with new procedures has made our first month back one to be very proud of!

Students are encouraged to go outside at break and lunchtimes and take a “mask break” in their designated social areas.

Pictured are Junior students enjoying their new seated areas.

Halloween Celebrations

1st years and Rang Realtín students enjoyed some Halloween activities and fun. Thanks to Mr Bohane for surprising us all.
