Transition Year Carol Singing

Our Transition Year students recently had the lovely experience of visiting the Mother McAuley Day Care Centre and singing some Christmas carols. The Mother McAuley Day Care Centre is a long-standing part of our local community that serves our senior citizens in the area and we count ourselves very lucky to have some great links to the centre. Our Transition Years and our teachers really got into the spirit, all making sure to dress up in bright Christmas colours and getting involved in the music. What a wonderful opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer.

JCSP Christmas Celebration

Our annual Junior Certificate Schools Programme (JCSP) Christmas Celebration took place recently. At the celebration, our 1st Year students showcased their best work in a variety of subjects, from reading Christmas poetry, telling the Nativity Story and displaying their artwork, singing songs learned in Music class and even letting us hear some festive musical pieces in both French and Spanish. Parents and guardians were in attendance and all involved really enjoyed the occasion. We are very proud of our 1st Year students and we look forward to seeing what more they can bring to OLM in the next term.

JCPA Presentation

Our Transition Year students were presented with their Junior Cycle Profiles of Achievement (JCPA). Students gathered and were presented with their JCPAs by our JCT Coordinator, Mr. Dunne. This Profile of Achievement shows all of the work that our students have done and everything they have achieved over their first three years with us at OLM. It was a great occasion attended by students, teachers, parents and guardians and it was wonderful to be able to shine a light on all of the accomplishments made by our students during their time with us so far.
