Christmas at St. Joseph’s Lucan

TY students hosted a Christmas fun day for first year students on Wednesday. They created mini games with a Christmas theme e.g ‘Pin the Belt on Santa’ and ‘Snowball Throw’ to name a few. First years received hot chocolate and treats organised of their year head Ms Kearney and Ms Ward. The day was also a way for TY students to raise funds for their chosen charities of St Vincent de Paul, Focus Ireland and Capuchin Day Centre. A great day was had by all. Well done to all involved.

Ms Carey Deery’s Transition Year Religion class made the most beautiful Christmas Wreaths this week. They will look super hanging on any door. Well done everybody!

On Friday, 4A2 delivered hampers and cards to Lucan Garda station as part of the Lucan Christmas Community Spirit. The hampers and cards were donated by staff and 4th and 5th year students. The Gardaí are delivering the hampers and cards to local nursing homes. Well done to Ms Carroll and everybody who contributed!

Our Tidy Towns Calendars arrived and we are delighted with how well they look! All photos were taken by our senior students as part of their Gaisce Award. €5 per calendar will go to St Vincent de Paul.

2a2 decided to forego Secret Santa and Christmas Cards this year and they all donated to adopt an Elephant from Dublin Zoo. What a lovely idea girls!

Our TY Student Enterprise Christmas Fair took place last week. As always, it was a fantastic success! We had 70 students participating in the event! There was enormous creativity and talent on display through the large variety of products being offered by these budding entrepreneurs!
