Lockdown Home Economics

Students were asked to design an outfit suitable for a special occasion after lockdown. Below are some beautiful outfit designs from our 1st and 2nd year girls. Budding designers in the making.

Junior students have also been busy cooking at home as part of their summer assessment. It’s fantastic to see you all using such valuable skills at home at present.

Transition Year Graduation

Dear Transition Years,

This is certainly an unusual way to end the year, I don’t think any of us could have anticipated we would be celebrating the end of our year remotely after being separated for so many months. This is the week there would have been coffee mornings, pizza lunches, tearful farewells to our exchange students, and much reminiscing about the year we have spent together. And while things have not gone to plan, I’m hopeful we will all be together again soon, and perhaps will appreciate that shared time a little more given what we have lived through.

While it was a shorter year together than usual, there was no shortage of activities, events, visits, and excursions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank your tireless teachers for planning all the things that make Transition Year so unique. Particular thanks to your Year Head, Ms Coen, and your class teachers, Ms Foley and Ms O’Donovan, for working so hard to challenge, educate, entertain and motivate you as you take your educational journey with us.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon, stay safe and be well until we can meet again.

Ms Whalley. TY Coordinator.
